CAN XI defeat SIDCO Mumbai

Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) XI won the Friendship Match against SIDCO, Mumbai, by 8 wickets on Friday at the Tribhuvan University grounds, Kirtipur.
CAN XI won the toss and invited SIDCO to bat first in the 40 overs match. The Nepali team bowled out SIDCO for 72 runs in 18.2 overs. Mehboob Alam took five wickets — the highest number of wickets in the match. Alam bowled Sudhir Kohli for a golden duck while Sanjay Patil and Darshan Kumar couldn´t score any run. The highest scorer for SIDCO was Kailash Mhatre (14), who was ousted LBW by Binod Das.
CAN XI retaliated with an easy win, losing two wickets in 7.1 overs scoring 76 runs. Paresh Lohani was bowled out for 16 runs while Dipendra Chaudhary suffered a catch out for the same number of runs. Gyanendra Malla topscored with unbeaten 21 runs.
