Gyanendra named as vice-captain

REPUBLICA, KATHMANDU, Nov 13:

Gyanendra Malla has been named vice-captain of the national cricket team for the ACC Twenty20 Elite Cup. Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) had earlier named Paras Khadka as the captain while maintaining silence about vice-captain.

During the farewell program on Friday, coach Roy Luke Dias said he was unaware about the vice-captain. But, after consultation with CAN president Binay Raj Pandey and general-secretary Tanka Paneru during the program, he named Gyanendra as deputy of Paras.
