THE FORTH TIME CHAMPION NEPAL
This is the forth time that NEPAL won the title of ACC U19 Cup Elite group where it defeated Afghanistan by a huge run of 48. This 48 runs is huge in the term of being target 173 which is itself a low score.
Earlier, Nepalese Captain Paras Khadka won the toss in the sixth time as many as the match set upped. Surprisingly he chose to bat first where he decided to bowl first earlier matches but his decision to bat is being not good decision. As one stage NEPAL was in 58 for 5 wickets then comes the well known Nepalese fighting spirit which is led by Aakash Gupta, who made inning’s high score of 48 valuable runs, and the partnership was 64. After dismissal of Aakash Gupta, everyone is giving some effort on one side and another side rock solid Sagar Khadka who made 32. At last NEPAL made 172 runs in 49.4 overs with the all wickets available.
Then it comes the turn to dismiss Afghanistan as low as possible. Afghanistan played very cautiously and defended almost the balls which affect their run chase. The Nepalese bowler were not giving any rooms to free their arms which they cost wickets in regular intervals. It was told that the final would be fight of Nepalese quality bowling versus Afghani strong batting lineup but at last the battle won by Nepalese bowling attack where only Afghani captain made half century. No one supported him from other side of wicket and they bowled out for only 124 runs which was 48 sort of Nepalese total.
Now it is told that Nepal is directly qualified for the youth world cup as before there was an argument that Nepal has to play a playoff with Scotland.
Anyway Congratulation The TEAM NEPAL – we salute you and you made us proud
